Water Testing & Analysis
Octo Marine, through Hydrus Laboratory SAS, works to ISO/IEC 17025:2017 Standards, ensuring the highest standards in Water Testing and Analysis for Yachts.
Our trained personnel conduct water sampling under ISO 19458 guidelines, providing comprehensive and confidential results and reports accepted by port authorities for ships’ certificates of sanitation
We cover all essential parameters, including Bacterial, Legionella, Mineral and Corrosion, and Physiochemical requirements, as well as analysis for misting, HiFog, and fire suppression systems.
Water Treatment Systems
We offer advice on the correct course of action in response to infections within the water distribution systems onboard, with effective treatment methods, including Hydrasil and Hypochlorination applications.
Based on the comprehensive water analysis carried out previously, our technicians apply chemicals like sodium hypochlorite or Hydrasil to eradicate biofilms in tanks and pipework.
We also offer potable water equipment surveys, freshwater safety plans and potable water logbooks.

Think Outside The Bottle
We are committed to our campaign, THINK OUTSIDE THE BOTTLE, dedicated to supporting the yachts in the reduction of their single use plastic waste onboard by putting in place a Fresh Water Safety Plan, so that the freshwater system is maintained and monitored for quality control. We propose suitable equipment for both sterilization and filtration of the water with point of use chiller and sparkling systems, providing aluminium drinking bottles for the crew that can even be customised to the yacht’s name. We also carry out regular onboard water analysis, guidance and solutions for peace of mind concerning the yacht’s water system.
